Signal in the Undergrowth is a shelter is conceived as a minimal vertical presence emerging from the density of the forest. Its asymmetrical volume, developed in height and defined by a flat surface opposed to converging sides, creates a tension between grounding and upward movement, allowing the structure to be perceived as a subtle marker within the vegetation. The triangular entrance is designed as an act of subtraction, defining a threshold between landscape and interior space, transforming access into a primary and symbolic gesture. The structure is composed of stacked timber courses, translating the natural growth of the forest into a stratified construction process. Rather than functioning as a traditional refuge, the shelter becomes a point of orientation and contemplation — a discreet signal that reveals itself gradually within the undergrowth, establishing a quiet dialogue between architecture and nature
